A multi-step polish that takes a tired acetate frame back to something close to new — dismantled, deep cleaned, hand polished and rebuilt by our own technicians. Returned with a complimentary microfibre bag.
What we do to your frame
Our polishing process involves several steps to restore your plastic glasses and sunglasses frames to their former glory.
- DismantleWe take the frame apart and remove the lenses and badges.
- Deep cleanThe frame goes through our ultrasonic cleaner, effectively removing dirt and bacteria.
- Hand polishOur experts hand-polish the frames on our polishing wheel to remove any blemishes.
- Finishing polishWe apply an ultrafine finishing polish to restore the sheen of the frame.
- Rebuild & reshapeWe re-assemble the frame, heat treat and reshape it, then oil and tighten the hinges so they function correctly.
- Back to youYour frames return almost as good as new, with a complimentary microfibre bag to help protect them.
Before you order
Acetate frames only. Our polishing service only applies to plastic (acetate) glasses and sunglasses frames.
Lenses can't be polished. If they're scratched or damaged they'll need replacing. Had a prescription change, or want a different lens colour? Contact us.

How to send us your frames
You don't need to arrange postage or pay for a courier. Order below and we'll send you a prepaid label — all you need to find is a padded envelope and a Post Office.
- Order the polishing serviceFill in the brand and any notes above, then add to cart. That's how we match your parcel to the right job when it reaches the bench.
- We email you a Royal Mail labelIt arrives by email once you've ordered. Nothing to pay, and nothing for you to arrange.
- Pack your frames properlyA padded envelope or small box, with the frames wrapped so they can't move about. Please go easy on the plastic tape where you can.
- Print the label and drop it offAny Post Office will take it. Keep your receipt — that's your proof of postage.
- We polish them and send them backUsually 5–7 working days in the workshop, then back to you by Royal Mail Tracked 48.
The small print
While it's rare, there is a small risk that your frame may have become brittle with age, which could break during polishing. However, most frames are fine for this service.

Common questions
Are my glasses suitable for restoration?
We only accept plastic frames for our service. While some frames may become brittle over time, leading to breakages, this is rare; we have only had two incidents of breakages out of the hundreds of frames we have restored. Most frames are suitable for our polishing process, and we can restore them to look almost as good as new.
Will the polishing process remove white marks and discolouration?
In most cases, yes. The polish lifts the white marks and cloudiness that build up on acetate over years of wear. On a heavily marked frame a faint trace can sometimes remain, but the difference is usually dramatic.
How will you look after my designer glasses and lenses?
Restoration projects always have a tiny risk, but we take the utmost care with your eyewear and successfully restore many luxury designer frames. This process can help extend the life of your glasses, so why not try it?
Can you polish the lenses too?
Unfortunately lenses cannot be polished and if scratched or damaged will need replacing. If you've damaged the lenses, had a prescription change or just want to change your lens colour please contact us.
How do I get my glasses to you safely?
You don't need to arrange postage yourself. Once you've ordered we'll email you a Royal Mail returns label — print it, attach it to a well-padded parcel, and drop it in at any Post Office. Please go easy on the plastic tape where you can. Your frames come back to you by Royal Mail Tracked 48.
How long will I be without my glasses?
We recommend having a spare pair to hand. Most frames are polished and posted back within 5–7 working days of reaching us.
Can I have Next Day Delivery?
Yes, please select Next Day Delivery on checkout, and we will try our best to get them back to you the day after they arrive.
