FAQ
Repairs
Is your work guaranteed?
Yes, all repairs are guaranteed for six months from the date of repair.
How long will it take?
On average, most repairs are completed once received within 3-5 working days.
Do you use original parts?
Sunglasses UK has access to most original parts. Some frame manufacturers do not offer spare parts; specific styles eventually get discontinued, leaving no replacement parts available.
However, we can fix almost any part, helping maintain the original aesthetics of your eyewear.
Do you repair all makes and types of eyewear?
Yes, we repair all types of eyewear, including high-end designer glasses frames, rimless, and prescription glasses.
Where are you based?
We are a UK-based company, and all of our work is done at our Southport lab.
What happens if my item goes missing/gets damaged in transit?
When returning items to our customers, we always recommend the Royal Mail Special Delivery option as this provides tracking information and insurance up to £500 (original proof of purchase may be required by Royal Mail in the event of a claim for loss/damage).
Our free post option (Royal Mail Recorded Delivery) carries no insurance or tracking information, and we cannot be held liable for any loss or damage while in transit.
Do I need to sign for my returned parcel?
Both methods of postage will require a signature from the receiver.
Will the repair be noticeable when my glasses are fixed?
In most cases, the repaired area will not be noticeable. For some repairs, like a bridge break, the repaired area may have a ridge or a mark, but we do our best to match the area to look like the original finish without it being too noticeable.
Can't my local optical store repair my glasses for me?
Most optical stores do standard repairs and fittings, but they do not have welding machines to do tougher repairs like broken hinges or broken nose pad arms and bridges. Some optical stores are more concerned about profits and selling you a new pair of glasses instead of repairing them.
Will my frame be weaker in the area it was repaired?
In most cases, it will actually be stronger, as in a weld for a metal frame.
What happens after I place an order?
We will email you with the next steps in the repair process. It will depend on whether we are repairing or replacing the lenses. Please await our email on how to proceed.
How do I post my sunglasses?
We will follow up on your order once it has been processed with a Royal Mail Label, which you can Freepost to our lab. Please make sure you include your contact details in the box with your sunglasses.

How long will it take for you to deliver my Package?
