Genuine Oliver Peoples replacement lenses from Sunglasses UK
Genuine Oliver Peoples replacement lenses, cut specifically for the Cary Grant Sun (OV5413SU). Made with the actor's estate and referencing the frames he wore in North by Northwest, it is a phantos acetate frame with CG marked on the temple tips. Lenses come as a matched pair with the correct Oliver Peoples etchings and a certificate of authenticity from Luxottica, and full UV protection as standard.
Which size Cary Grant do you have?
Two lens widths exist, 48mm and 50mm, and they are not interchangeable. The measurement is printed inside the left temple arm as a pair of numbers such as 50-22. Check the model code at the same time: the Cary Grant 2 is a separate frame, OV5436S, built with a metal front, and it takes different lenses.
Finding your OV5413SU colour code
Immediately after the model code you will find the colour code — four digits, a slash, two characters. The frame pictured is 1492/3R. Send it exactly as printed; the code, not the colour name, is what we order against.
Choosing your lenses
Five tints are available for the OV5413SU. Non-polarised reproduces the original glazing. Polarised cuts reflected glare and pairs naturally with the darker tortoise and black colourways. A graduated polarised lens lightens towards the bottom of the lens. Mirror finishes, polarised or otherwise, put a reflective surface on the front.
Fitting your lenses
Acetate is warmed before a lens is seated, so the rim gives rather than splits. Choose Sunglasses UK to fit and we will do it for an additional £10 — a Royal Mail returns label follows by email, then send the frame to us. Choose Customer to fit and we post the lenses to you or your optician.

What information do you need to order my lenses?
Three details, printed inside your frame’s left temple arm: the model code (e.g. OV5217S), the colour code (e.g. 1005/53) and the frame size, shown as two numbers such as 49-22. Add these to the Replacement Lens Details boxes when you order. If the engraving has worn away, email a photo of the inside arm to ben@sunglassesuk.com and we will identify it for you.
Can I fit the replacement lenses myself?
Yes. Choose “Customer to fit” and we will send the loose lenses for you, or a local optician, to fit. Prefer us to do it? Choose “Sunglasses UK to fit” (+£10) and we will email a Royal Mail returns label so you can send us the frame.
Does the frame need warming to fit the lenses?
Yes. Oliver Peoples frames are acetate, so the front is warmed before a lens is seated — that lets the rim flex rather than split. If you would rather not do that yourself, choose “Sunglasses UK to fit” and our workshop will handle it.
How long do replacement lenses take to arrive?
Lenses are made to order and usually take 5–10 working days to arrive from Italy. If we hold your lenses in stock they are dispatched the next working day, and any Next Day Delivery you have paid for applies from the moment they reach us.
Do the lenses come as a pair?
Yes — you receive two lenses, both with the correct Oliver Peoples etchings, plus a certificate of authenticity. Full UV protection is standard.
Which Oliver Peoples models can you supply lenses for?

Can I cancel my order once it is placed?
Because Oliver Peoples lenses are custom items ordered directly from Luxottica for your specific frame, orders cannot be cancelled once placed. All fittings and repairs are carried out at the customer’s own risk.
