In our eight part series, Icons In Iconic Sunglasses, we delve into the most recognizable sunglasses of the 20th century. We take a look at the history of each frame and matching style and materials of the modern era. A selection of the most influential men and woman emphasize the cultural significance these sunglasses have.

The eight frames include the Wayfarer, Aviator, Clubmaster, Round Eye, to feminine Cat Eye and Oversized, to sports frames. All of the frames you see in out Icons In Iconic Sunglasses blog are available in some form today. The blueprint for many of the frames are still used over half a decade later.

Many of Icons used sunglasses and eye wear as part of their image. John Lennon was well known for his Round Eye frames. Jackie Ohh pioneered the over sized style, gaining a large amount of recognition for her forward thing and impeccable taste. We take time to appreciate their contributions and brilliance, and celebrate the art and success of all our icons.
